But it screws up the Tour? Shouldn't we just wait for wireless OTA updates? Anyone try this?

Silly me...
I made the mistake of trusting the update since it came directly from Blackberry.. I ended up sending both tours (mine and the wife's) back to Verizon. On the plus side, Verizon did overnight express us 2 new units, but it was an unexpected disruption.
The one phone had horizontal trackball issues after the update, and the other one would intermittently loose data connection even though it had full signal strength..

Doing the desktop manager update or Verizon OTA update? data connection loss IE: lose full 1XEV connection? What were your connection settings? (global, 1XEV, etc.)

The trackball issue is are hardware one. I spend 20 min on the line with a Verizon tech talking about the issue. It is purely are hardware issue. I just received my new tour with has a different trackball all together. Its looks more gray under light.
