has anyone tried this download for the 8830? How do you install it? How would you uninstall it if it doesn't work? Thanks

Hey there Howser.
I do not have an 8830, but I can tell you how to install and uninstall it.
1. Download the installation file. 2. Search for and delete the vendor.xml file. 3. Run the installation file. 4. Plug in your BB. 5. Run desktop manager.
It should now prompt you to install the new OS. If it doesn't, run the Application Loader. I will make a tutorial on how to do this soon and post it when I can. It's very important that you delete the vendor.xml file before installing the new OS.
To uninstall simply download your provider's current OS for your device and follow the same instructions above.
